Senior Connection Named Runner-Up for Prestigious National Aging Award

7-23-2025

We’re proud to share that Senior Connection has been named a Runner-Up for The John A. Hartford Foundation 2025 Business Innovation Award—a national recognition celebrating outstanding programs advancing healthy aging, social connection, and innovative healthcare partnerships.

Selected from a competitive field of nominees, Senior Connection was honored by a distinguished review panel of health care representatives, foundation staff, and social connection experts. Our organization stood out for our efforts to reduce loneliness and social isolation among older adults by building strong partnerships with health care providers and community networks.

This recognition underscores our continued commitment to improving the lives of older adults, caregivers, and people with disabilities by fostering meaningful human connection and support systems.

“We are incredibly honored to be named Runner-Up for this prestigious award, which affirms our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering equitable, culturally responsive care directly into the communities where older adults live,” said Dr. Moses S. Dixon, President & CEO of Senior Connection. “This recognition fuels our drive to continue innovating and expanding our reach so that every older adult—regardless of where they live or the challenges they face—can access the resources and support they deserve to thrive.”

“Thanks to our partnership with UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Massachusetts, we are able to serve more older adults with the care they need and deserve. At Senior Connection, we believe that integrating the principles of global health and social medicine into our service delivery model is essential to addressing the complex needs of older adults and reimagining how care is practiced across our region,” said Dr. Dixon.

The award will be officially announced at the USAging 50th Annual Conference and Tradeshow, taking place July 20–23 in Chicago, Illinois.

We’re honored to be recognized alongside other innovative programs and grateful to our staff, volunteers, and partners who make this work possible every day.
